Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games announced

Wii News | Red and Blue, but not the glasses.
The popular sporting dream team of Mario & Sonic is a huge hit, and the latest game intends to continue the trend of professional sports with a touch of the toon, with SEGA announcing via press release Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

As with the previous titles, this joint development between Nintendo and SEGA will see the two mascots (and a few friends) battle it out in sporting challenges, this time celebrating what will be the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Planned for both the Nintendo Wii and the Nintendo 3DS, the former will debut sports such as soccer and riding, while the latter will include fifty single-player and multiplayer games to play, in full 3D of course.

No release date has been given, though one could expect the release to coincide with the official games.
