well that looks... different. Fun though.

But that cutscene animation was horrible.

One thing that intrested me though, Wii and 3DS? From all reports isn't the 3DS more powerfull then the Wii? Does that mean we're going to be entering an era when a hand held gets the full games while the home console gets a waterd down port?

Are we looking at the same 3DS? I noticed that the textures in all the current games look pretty shocking. Mario Galaxy still beats every 3DS game out there. At the moment, anyway...

That means we're entering an era where the Wii has 2 years before it's superseded.

Comparing launch games on a console that isn't out yet that's displaying every image twice to achieve a 3D image to a game displayed in 2D that came out a year into the consoles life span is hardly a fair comparison.

More fair would be something like the 3DS Resident Evil mercenaries

Vs Red Steel

They look kind of even to me.

Neither is comparing a bullshot from the best looking game that isn't a launch title to one of the worse looking Wii games released in that first year.

Plus, even though it isn't 3D, Wii still renders things at a higher resolution.

was that a bullshot? I just grabbed the first image from the 3DS thread for RE icon_razz.gif

(I thought RE was a launch title though?)

It isn't. For proper screenshots of anything, check out the 3DS blog. And it won't be out until 2012 or something.

There, changed it to a propper screenshot from resident evil mercenaries.

They still look pretty even to me, Mercenaries is a lower res yeah but it's also in full 3D wich I rekon makes up for the difference.

Good, now change the Red Steel screenshot to Twilight Princess and we're all set.

Also, would you mind if I underlined your spelling mistakes (genuine question)? I mean, it might be annoying, but as least you'll learn something. icon_razz.gif

Twilight princess was a gamecube game that got ported onto the Wii. Not a wii game.

You can do whatever you want, can't say it will actually help me or not though.

And it still looks better than Red Steel. Just saying, it's quite a poor example.
