Yeah, I had the the same thought. Art style looks like it would fit right into the final fantasy series. Besides the little yellow glyph in one of the screenies, all the monsters and characters, as well as the buildings, look as if they could be from the same world as FF7.

Hahahaha that too, but I was thinking the name of the game, Last=Final, Fantasy=Story etc. But that thing about the art style to FF7 is also true. But that is by no means a bad thing, not by a long shot.
It's hard to gauge from the pictures, but from what I can gather, it has a battle system that I thought sounded sort of like FF12 and quite possibly similar to Xenoblade in a number of ways. There was a series of concept images a while ago that depicted target lines and so on.

I wouldn't begin to worry yet. It doesn't release in Japan till next year so I'm not too bothered. Xenoblade on the other hand has been out a fair while which is bothering me.
