Wii Party revealed in Japan

Wii News | Party down with the Big N.
We've gone bowling and golfing, we've tightened those buns, and we've conducted a string quartet, but now its time to party!

Breaking straight from the land of the rising sun via andriasang, President and CEO of Nintendo Satoru Iwata has announced at an investor briefing that gamers young and old will be getting their mitts on a new title from the Wii brand; Wii Party.

Described as a collection of party games supporting Miis and up to four players, slides shown during the briefing have revealed a number of the titles found within the package, including Bingo, Roulette, 'Mii-jong', and various dice games. There were also other titles announced, that were not elaborated upon such as Overseas Trip Game, Balance Ship, and Mii Alignment.

It is unknown at this time whether or not Wii Party intends to replace the Mario Party franchise or stand alone, but Iwata did make note that this would be the company's first 'party' specific title since Mario Party 8 in 2007.

The game is likely to be shown at E3 2010, and perhaps revealed to the Western world even earlier. Make sure to keep following PALGN for information as it breaks.
