Shinobi was originally released in 1987 and follows the story of Joe Musashi , a ninja who goes on a mission to stop the evil Zeed organisation. There are a total of five stages to play through, and in each one you must rescue hostages who have been kidnapped by Zeed before you’ll be allowed to take on the end of level boss. The game will set you back 800 Wii points.
Protöthea has been available on the US Wii Shopping Channel for well over a year, but it’s finally made its way to PAL-Land. It’s actually a port of the 2005 PC game of the same name and is a shoot ‘em up. The game is played from a top-down perspective, with players aiming a crosshair on screen to target and destroy enemies. Protöthea will set you back 1000 Wii points.
PictureBook Games: A Pop-Up Adventure is best described as a virtual game board – players take turns picking cards which allow them to move across the board or hinder other players. Unfortunately the game doesn’t have a lot of variety and most of its difficulty lies in random events which will either benefit or hinder your progress. It’s a lacklustre title and probably isn’t worth the 800 Wii points price tag.
A Little Bit of... Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training: Arts Edition is a bite sized version of the full retail release of Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training – in all honesty, who the hell doesn’t own it by now? Regardless, Arts Edition features the brain exercises Word Attack, Reading Aloud, and Piano Player. In addition there’s a drawing challenge and a Virus Buster mini-game, the latter of which has been included in all the other DSiWare Brain Training titles. The game will set you back 800 DSi points.
Combat of Giants: Dragons - Bronze Edition is a smaller version of the full retail game Combat of Giants: Dragons which was released just over a month ago. In the game you take control of a dragon and fly around fighting other dragons and collecting gems. Sounds like fun, doesn’t it? The game will set you back 800 DSi points.
