Fragile dated for PAL territories

Wii News | Take out your flashlights for 2010.
Rising Star Games has announced that it will be handling publishing duties for Fragile: Farewell Ruins of the Moon in PAL territories.

Fragile is an exclusive RPG for the Wii and is being developed by Tri Crescendo, the same team responsible for Baten Kaitos and Eternal Sonata. The game is set in the near future, where the world has lost most its population. Assuming the role of a boy named Seto, players must search the abandoned cities for someone to keep them company, as well as uncover the truth as to why everyone has disappeared. Seto isn’t completely alone, however, as players will discover ghosts haunt the ruins. Apparently the Wii remote is utilised as a virtual flashlight which helps players track down ghosts and illuminate dark areas to solve puzzles.

Fragile: Farewell Ruins of the Moon is scheduled to be released across PAL territories in Q1 2010. You can check out some screenshots in the media panel below.

Wow, very nice. DOesn't really sound like an RPG though, sounds more like survival horror or adventure. Colour me intrigued either way though.

Awesome news, this game looks great. The gameplay reminds me alot of the Project Zero series, with the whole flash light and ghost hunting.

But does it have random encounters and a tedious turn based battle system? It does look pretty, but I can't stand that sort of 'RPG'.

Well there last two games (Eternal Sonata and Baiten Kaitos) actually has pretty cool interesting combat systems (The former a hybrid real time/ turn based, the latter a pretty interesting but at times frustrating card system) but were just let down by horrible writing and even worse voice acting.

They both also had enemies appear on screen before you got into battles.

Just be warned guys, it's supposed to play pretty averagely. Great graphics, story, and atmosphere, but slow gameplay and bad combat.

Buyer beware.

Yeah, just from watching some vids on it, the combat looks really clunky.
