Shaun White to receive follow-up

Wii News | Let it snow, let it snow, let is snow.
Ubisoft has announced today it will be publishing Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage exclusively on the Wii.

At this stage not too much information is known about the game, but apparently players can look forward to persuing the world's top competitions in the Winter wonderlands of France, Canada and Japan. Like the original, World Stage will also support the Wii Balance Board peripheral to simulate the motions of real life snowboarding.

Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage will be released during the Christmas holiday season and will be making an appearance at E3 next week. You can check out four screenshots in the media panel below.

Interesting. I never played the first, after reading the reviews, and hoped that if they ever made a sequal, it would be more akin to SSX.

In Soviet Russia, SSX is more akin to youuu!

Ive not played the first, but wonder if it's worth holding out for a bigger n' better sequel?

Shawn White was quite easily the worst snowboarding game I have ever played, so I don't really have high hopes for this one.

Did you play the Wii version, which this just announced title is a sequel to? I picked it up after reading great reviews for it and thought it was really fantastic when used with the Balance Board. I played the PC version too which was enjoyable freeriding throughout the mountains but definitely wasn't up to Amped 3 standards in the story mode.
Considering there aren't any other current generation snowboarding games around I thought it was underapreciated (stoked is meant to be good but hasn't been released here, and probably won't be).

Amped 2 is still the king of snowboarding games IMO......*sigh*

I had good fun with the first one, though to be honest I bought it to justify the balance board that was gathering dust under the couch.
A follow up is welcome news icon_smile.gif
