Fantasy Zone II was originally released in 1987 and is a side scrolling shooter. Unlike most shooters of the time, the Fantasy Zone series was most famous for its colourful graphics, thus it’s often described as a “cute ‘em up”. Your primary goal in the game is to pilot a space ship and destroy all the bases in each zone (level), which will then open a warp to the zone’s boss. New to the sequel are hidden warps which allow players to travel between different zones instantly. The game will set you back 500 Wii points.
Rainbow Islands: Towering Adventure! is an updated version of the classic Rainbow Islands series. In the game you play as Bubby or Bobby (or both if teaming up with a friend for co-op play), and have to make your way to the top of long, vertical stages by using rainbows. At a cost of 800 Wii points, it might be the perfect excuse to bring some colour into your life.
Master of Illusion Express: Deep Psyche is another bite-sized version of the full Nintendo DS game Master of Illusion. The title features three magic tricks including Deep Psyche and Today’s Special which involve trickery with mathematical equations, and Vanishing Card which is self explanatory. The game will set you back 200 DSi points.
