Old Indy (or rather, young Indy, seeing as the game is set in 1939) will visit several globe-trotting locations on his quest to find the Staff of Moses, from San Francisco's Chinatown to Panama, all the while crossing paths with his latest nemesis, Magnus Völler. The game also promises to harken back to the original trilogy of Indiana Jones films with action sequences reminiscent of their famous vehicular chases.
Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings is set for release on Nintendo Wii, DS, PSP and Playstation 2. For the Wii, the game promises to allow you to wield Indy's whip for anything from combat to puzzle-solving, while the DS lets you use the stylus for the same purpose. The PSP version will feature six types of 'burst gameplay', including combat and physics challenges, puzzles and chase sequences. Features hopefully common to all versions include a biplane sequence, a raging river raft run and riding a wild elephant through Istanbul. The game will also have co-op gameplay, and a four-player multiplayer mode where players can battle in either biplanes or tanks.
Perhaps most interesting is that there will be several unlockables in the game, including the entire classic (and excellent) adventure game, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.
The game's release date is currently unknown, but we'll keep bringing you new information as it arises, provided that we can escape LucasArts' boulder-guarded tomb with it.
UPDATE: Joystiq have received confirmation that the Fate of Atlantis unlockable is exclusive to the Wii version of the game.
