apart from Sonic being a Wolf, it looks pretty nice for the Wii/PS2 versions.

I do like the idea of going back to sonics roots and making a 2D style game again (Maybe even a redux of Sonic 3 and Knuckles??)
Though I am still curious about this title; but I am not making any calls until I see this game in actions. Stills never do a game any true justice.

Yeah, he had that one crappy game in 2006, there have also been like 3 DS Sonic games that have all rocked! (Especially Sonic Chronicles, which is the BEST game on DS right now, about ten times funner than Zelda and not a 6/10 as some anti-Sonic-biased people would tell you)

Daytime levels look awesome, nighttime levels are certainly different, but in the trailer notice the little Rez-style targeting boxes coming up? Might not be just another brawler...

MAYBE. But I've hated all the games since Sonic 3 & Knuckles for a REASON.

The sonic games on the DS did rock. This isn't on a DS and has shitty 3D combat forced onto you for half the game.

In otherwords. It's gunna blow. The daytime bits do look phenomenal though. If they'd kept the entire game like that I would have bought it in a heartbeat.

Maybe if you'd read my erotic Sonic fan fiction comics you'd understand why the series only really started AFTER Sonic R, the 16-bit ones were just setting the scene...

Yeah that bit was a joke, but I'm getting tired of the knee-jerk haterism around this game, followed by the attempts at one-upping of old gamer cred:
"I only liked Sonic 2!"
"Well I only liked Sonic CD!"
"Well I only liked Sonic 3 with the Sonic & Knuckles add-on played with the Arcade Stick on an NTSC set with headphones on!"

Hating 99% of a franchise's history doesn't make you a "true fan"

I kinda agree with Eviladrian. People are trashing the game before its even been released! Come on, give it a chance. It's looking quite good from what I've seen. Then again, I'm one of the few people that admits they liked Sonic Heroes... Though Sonic Adventure 2 was the best 3D Sonic game in my opinon.

We're hating on it before it's released because sega have proven they're kind of intent on buttfucking the franchise as much as possible. Sconic adventure and Adventure 2 we're fantastic when you played as sonic or shadow (Or tails in the first one) Then they kept slowing the game down to play shitty fighting combat levels.

This game comes out of the gate showing fantastic sonic levels and most peoples reaction was "Holy shit awesome!" Then they're like "LOL! Half the game you'll be a werewolf and will be slow action levels"

They haven't done anything that proves they can pull off the 3D action bits, they've proven repeatedly that they suck at doing that.

If the game turns out awesome I'll be happy to be wrong.
