As most of you would be aware, LEGO Batman is available on nearly every platform imaginable. The Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions retail for $89.95, while the Nintendo DS version is the second most expensive at $69.95. Not too far behind is the PSP version, which retails for $59.95, while those wanting a cheaper alternative can pick up the PlayStation 2 and PC versions for $49.95 each. As it just so happens, the new redesigned PSP 3000 console is also released this week. In case you’re thinking about jumping on the handheld bandwagon, then there’s a special bundle available for a recommended retail price of $339.95. The bundle includes a PSP 3000 console and a copy of LEGO Batman, though you will need to wait until October 16 (Thursday) to purchase it.
With that out the way, the Wii version of LEGO Batman is the cheapest at JB Hi-Fi, who are charging only $74. In case you don’t have a local store, then Toys ‘R’ Us will set you back 99 cents more. For PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners, you’ll also want to head into JB Hi-Fi for the $74 price tag, but your second best alternatives are GameTraders and Target, who are selling the game for $79.95. Changing the pattern a little, those wanting to pick up the DS version should head into Big W as they’re charging just $44.82. In case they run out stock, you’ll unfortunately have to go to JB Hi-Fi and pay $59. Not to be forgotten, the PSP version is $49 at JB Hi-Fi, while everywhere else is charging the full retail price. Last up are the PlayStation 2 and PC versions, which will set you back only $39.95 at GameTraders and $39.99 at Toys ‘R’ Us, not bad given the current global economy crisis.
As we mentioned above, there is a PSP bundle that includes a copy of LEGO Batman. The bundle is on sale at JB Hi-Fi and Dick Smith stores for $309. Finally, we’d like to make a quick note concerning EB Games and Toys ‘R’ Us. Both retailers are offering a special deal where you’ll receive a FREE LEGO Batman keyring if you purchase the game from their stores. Unfortunately, stocks are limited so you better be quick if you have you heart set on Batman protecting your car keys from those thieving co-workers.
A complete list of bargains can be found below. All of these specials will be included in this week’s Australia Gaming Bargains feature, which will be published by PALGN tomorrow afternoon.
*Please note that the Big W, Kmart and Target specials don’t officially start until Thursday, October 16. Because of this you may have to wait until then to take advantage of their offers.
