Revealed a few days ago in Japanese magazine Famitsu, Dead Rising: Zombie Sacrifice has now been announced via the official Japanese website which just went live. Rather then being a simple hand-me-down from the Xbox 360 original, it will be a complete re-work of the original game. You still play as Frank West in the same Dawn of the Dead inspired Zombie-infested mall, but Capcom promises a new, more forgiving and less confusing mission structure. Due to the difference in system power, there will be less zombies in the Wii version, but Capcom say the missions and environments will take this into account, and it will remain a tense experience.
Probably the biggest change, though, will be to the action. Dead Rising: Zombie Sacrifice has been re-worked to feature the ultra-precise Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition over-the-shoulder shooting controls, and motion controlled melee combat.
We've also got screens of the game, check the media panel below. No release date has been set, but sometime later this year seems likely.
