Hopefully the rest of the characters are based on their in game iterations. Disliking both Alucard's, and Simon's redesigns. Drac looks cool, and Maria looks ok.

Regardless of style choices, looks like it could be cool, can't wait to see some gameplay footage.

Looks ok. Strange move from Konami though. I'd prefer to see a Wiiware 2D Castlevania game instead.

Even if i didn't already know, one glance at Simon and Maria would tell me the characters have been designed by Takeshi Obata. They (faces at least)look strikingly like characters from the Death Note manga.

Looking good! I can't wait. I know everyone and their dog hates this genre shift for the franchise but I think it will work.

The real question is whether the fighting engine will be up to scratch.

I don't like the character designs... at all. Simon looks like a prepubescent teen.

It's also killed the hopes I had for the game of being like an amalgamation of a multitude of boss rush scenarios. Whereby you pick your hero (from Simon, to Alucard, to Richter, hell, even Grant and Sypha would be sweet) and then battle it out against a succession of bosses found in the previous games ultimately leading to the inevitable Death battle followed by Dracula himself. That would have nade for some fantastic gaming. Alas, it wasn't meant to be.

Looks like some early Soul Calibur. I'd rather they not do this, but if they do at least put GC controller support. Playing fighting games with the Wii remote is crap.

I'm actually coming around to it. The designs are better then the awful Animu of the last two DS games, and while it's still a silly idea, it's a better idea then the clunky Drac X re-make on PSP (how do you manage to re-make a game 14 years later and have it be worse then the original?) or yet another generic Metroid clone.

Of course, we all want a good 3D action adventure, like the N64 games but more polished and with nice spooky graphics, but Igarashi has twice proven he is incapable of making an even halfway decent 3D adventure. At least this will likely be less offensive then the abomination that was Curse of Darkness.
