G1 Jockey Wii 2008 announced

Wii News | Will utilise the Wii Balance Board.
Koei have announced today, via a press release, that they will be releasing a new entry in the G1 Jockey franchise called G1 Jockey Wii 2008.

The game builds on last year’s outing by adding support for the Wii Balance Board peripheral, which will apparently be used to leap over fences and steer horses to victory. Additionally, the game will feature a stable where players can breed horses, as well as a Career Mode that will allow you to raise your status from a mere rookie to a racing legend.

G1 Jockey Wii 2008 is expected to be released in PAL regions this September. While you wait, why not read our review for last year’s G1 Jockey Wii?

dear lord NO!

the ones in the arcade were lame enough - now instead of riding a plastic horse you're riding an imaginary one.....

(the arcade ones were actually quite fun but still lame)

I wonder - do they have to put the wiimote between our legs?

If you read the actual article the game has support for the Balance Board from Wii Fit, so you won't need the wiimote between your legs unless you want to feel the vibrations icon_wink.gif icon_lol.gif

Yeah I read that - I knew you had to use the balance board.... which would be sucky enough - adding the wiimote on top of that would have been really ridiculous....

Then you have some liberal will lose their mind and say that the "Wii is promoting moral decay with devices that can be used for sexual activity" icon_wink.gif icon_lol.gif

This sounds terrible. Are you the horse or the jockey, you need to decide guys. You don't steer a horse by standing atop it and leaning from side to side, unless I've ridden them wrong everytime I've been riding. Who knows, it might work out, I hope it does especially given that last year's G1 Jockey was one of my guilty pleasures.

ps. please don't let that secret slip out, my gaming cred will be shot to pieces icon_lol.gif
