Super Smash Bros Brawl AU release date revealed?

Wii Rumour | Could it be out next month?
A few weeks ago, Nintendo Europe announced that Super Smash Bros Brawl would be out in Europe on June the 27th. Australia's release dates are often similar to Europe's, but Nintendo Australia still hasn't formally announced a date for the highly anticipated title.

Well, games retailer Topshop may have prematurely revealed the Australian release date for Nintendo. The retailer is currently listing Super Smash Bros. Brawl with a June 26th release, a day earlier than the UK. All Nintendo releases are on a Thursday in Australia, so it certainly makes sense, but is the retailer just guessing? We'll let you know as soon as we find out.

I heard the manager of EB Knox telling his staff that they had just got the 26th confirmed. So I'd say it's probably right.

Why, because there is finally a (speculative) release date on the horizon?

Because one of there biggest titles has taken two months for us to even get a 'specualtive' release date in Australia.

Thats just insane.

Yeah it's true Nintendo won't be officially doing the date until next week I hear though.

Well I'm glad for Australia that we're at least getting it the same time as the UK. Getting it later than them would have just been sad.

So you'll just boycott playing any games exclusive to Nintendo consoles then?

I don't see why this is such a strange concept. And honestly what have I missed out from not owning a Wii? Mario and Metroid is pretty much it.

I do own a DS because its reigon free and import all my games for it.

i dont see what all the hype of smash bros is, i bought the last one on gamecube and played it for a while but still cant see how it is the most popular nintendo game ever.

but it seems im part of a minority. i was going to give this one a go but all the hype has turned me off it actually.
