LIT announced for WiiWare

Wii News | Do you see the light?
Independent developer WayForward Technologies have announced today, via a press release, that they will be releasing a new horror puzzle game on Nintendo’s upcoming WiiWare service called LIT.

LIT follows the exploits of Jake, a ‘below-average’ student who’s high school has been overrun by evil creatures. In the game, Jake has to make his way through each classroom and use sources of light to create a safe pathway, ultimately escaping the school and being reunited with his girlfriend. While not much else is known, apparently players will have to solve puzzles and fight bosses in between levels.

LIT is expected to be released later this year. We'll report back once new information is revealed.

Interesting. A horror puzzler, that uses light and shadow.

WiiWare has just been going from strength to strength. I never would have thought WiiWare would get off with a bang. There are so many great ideas coming.

The artwork looks fantastic for this game. This dude reminds me of the Reapers in Blade 2, haha. Sounds interesting!

WiiWare is showing to have some serious strength behind it. With the titles promised so far, there are going to be some amazing indie games coming about. Good on Nintendo for catering to the creative minds all over the world and giving them an easier outlet to reach the public.

I also remember seeing shots of some WiiWare game which looked leaps and bounds ahead of the commercial Wii stuff (not all of it mind you, just some of them), so I'm sure most of my money will go towards this rather than that cheap ports and cash ins available for 100 bucks a pop.

Of those Dr Mario, FF CC Life as a King, Lost Winds and (to a lesser extent) World of Goo have me interested already

Just wish we didn't have to wait soo long

Oh well, Japan gets WiiWare soon (just recently got the Wii TV Channel as well, lucky), we'll know more shortly

Was anyone else like me and thought that 'de Blob' was an upcoming WiiWare title icon_confused.gif
