Virtual Console updated

Wii News | The drought continues.
It’s Friday again and as usual, Nintendo have updated the Australian Virtual Console. This week sees the release of the NES title Adventures of Lolo II, for 500 points.

Adventures of Lolo II was originally released in 1991, and is a puzzle game which was developed by HAL Laboratory. The game’s story takes place immediately after the original Adventures of Lolo. Lala and Lolo are returning home after successfully defeating the Haunted Castle, but are stopped by the King of Eggerland. The King reveals that the Labyrinth was only a test, and now Lolo must face the real challenge. Adventures of Lolo II retains the same gameplay mechanics as its predecessor, but also features a greater difficulty level. In total, there are 50 puzzles to complete, as well as four hidden Pro puzzle rooms.

One measly game, eh? Clearly they're using all their available resources to help 'PALerize' Brawl! icon_shifty.gif

As far as the game that has been offered I think it's a worthwhile addition to the Virtual Console. I really enjoyed The Adventures of Lolo games as they were really challenging. I only have the third on cartridge and getting the first and second from the VC is going to be good.

Lolo 2 is the best in the series and is a great little game. But there are a lot more awesome titles I'm hanging out for (I want to see another Neo Geo fighter for one to see if indeed the future PAL ports will be crap. If the next one is crap I will most likely get a US Wii).
