Oz Guitar Hero III replacement program starts

Wii News | Activision now taking pre-registrations.
Those who picked up the Wii version of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock last year were in for an unfortunate surprise. Despite the box stating the game supported Dolby Pro Logic II, it was discovered there was a bug which caused the sound to play through mono only. Even stereo support was affected, resulting in the same signal being produced by both speakers.

Following a similar program in North America, Activision Asia Pacific has officially announced that Australia and New Zealand consumers can now pre-register for a replacement disc. Australian residence can ring (02) 9869 0955, while those living in New Zealand can call 09 477 2582. Further enquires can be directed to Activision's support web page.

At this stage, no specific date has been given as to when the replacement discs will become available, but we'll report back once new information is revealed.

Just rung up, they said it would take about 3 weeks for them to get the discs. But could be longer! I'm in no rush!

Question? I pre ordered this game for a family member just before December for Christmas and still haven't got it! Is this why there is such a delay, because they realised the muck up and halted the production?

Very possible Onggie. Where did you pre-order from? When I call up tomorrow, ill ask them for you. Id say all original prints were not replaced once they sold through.

The guy I talked to at Activision said he wasnt positive but it certainly seemed like it. They are expecting the discs in a few weeks so I suppose that's when the new wave of stock will be available in stores.
