Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates due in early 2008

DS News | More portable Final Fantasy on the way.
Square Enix has sent through word this morning that the DS version of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, subtitled Ring of Fates, is set for release in all European territories in Spring of 2008 (that's Autumn for we Australians).

John Yamamoto, President and Chief Executive Officer of Square Enix Ltd. comments, "With a strong focus on action and exploration Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates offers an exciting, fast-paced adventure. If you’ve never played a Final Fantasy game before, Ring of Fates is the perfect introduction and offers even more fun when played with friends."

Ring of Fates tells the story of twins that are born with a magical power they are not aware of until the rise of a blood red moon, which is normally prevented by the Great Crystal. Obviously something's happened to the crystal and its up to you to set it right. Ring of Fates boasts beautiful 3D graphics, a wonderful soundtrack, local wireless play for four players and extra quests and characters not featured in the Japanese release.

Expect to see Ring of Fates on shelves in Australia next year.

I completely forgot about this game. If only it had wifi, like it originally attended to.
