Mega Man ZX Advent revealed

DS News | The neverending series returns after a short break.
It's an avalanche of Capcom today, with yet another announcement - this time a sequel to the successful DS game Mega Man ZX, currently named Mega Man ZX Advent. Set for release in October in the US, it won't be long until Mega Man fans will be back stealing weapons from robot corpses as they always have! Mega Man ZX Advent follows two heroes, Grey and Ashe, on two separate but intertwining adventures as they search for answers amidst a chaotic war between humans and robots. According to the press release, "they will fight against a menacing, evil force in a battle unprecedented in the Mega Man series."

Jack Symon, director of brand marketing, Capcom Entertainment, had this to say: “The team listened to fan feedback to design a game that would appeal to Mega Man fans old and new. It was evident that we needed to create a game that is uniquely made for the Nintendo DS while still delivering a great Mega Man action game.”

Many Nintendo DS features will be used to 'enhance' the action gameplay, including the “Biometal” system, allowing the player to customise weapons on the fly via the touch screen, as well as access a map screen. Bosses can apparently be fought in several different ways, with different reward items depending on how you take them down.

Check the media panel for screenshots and character art. No mention of a PAL release date, but hopefully the end of the year isn't too much to ask for.

If it improves on the sequel it will be an awesome game. I enjoyed the first one except for the back tracking and will get a US copy since the PAL version is only coming out now.

It may also be a budget title since the first was.

How can they title it Megaman if there is no Megaman in it? How dare they! But still with the ever increasing number of interesting DS games coming out I'm going to have to get sometime in the near future.
