Brothers In Arms announced for Wii and DS

DS News | A few more WWII FPS games out this year.
Ubisoft has today announced that they have the folks at Gearbox working on two new entries into their reasonably good Brothers In Arms series - one on DS, and one on the Wii. For those who have never heard of the series, it involves shooting a whole lot of Nazis during the Allied invasion of Europe during World War II.

Expect heavy use of the touch-screen and Wii-mote. You can perform 'gestures' with either the stylus or Wii-mote in order to command your squad to go shoot stuff, as is to be expected. Ubisoft are also boasting things like 'next-gen' AI, historically accurate battles, plus the DS gets a nice multiplayer setup and drivable vehicles, which are always fun.

You can expect Brothers In Arms DS during the middle of the year, while the Wii's Double Time will occur sometime in the third quarter. Until then, the first screens of the DS version are in the media panel.

I don't like War games, except Advance and Battalion Wars, because they don't take themselves seriously icon_smile.gif .

Yay, another WWII game for WII... I'm guessing I'm not the first to make that [awful] joke.

The DS screens look decent enough, or have I just forgotten what good N64 games looked like?
