Originally I was pissed to hear they were going to do a game that took place after Wind Waker, it was meant to be "the end".

Seeing these trailers etc though I am looking forward to it.

Cool trailer, it looks like development is going nicely. icon_smile.gif I originally thought that it was strange for them to do a Wind Waker style game as well, but I suppose you can't blame them after the success of Wind Waker. If it's/was popular, you may as well use it

I actually prefer the cel look, it's (arguebly) the best style for Zelda. Because WW > TP in terms of visuals.

Two words

I like.

That trailer just rocked my world!

Props on the Hyrule Castle theme, that just heightened the excitement level over here.

That game looks fine. Damn fine.

This man speaks the truth.

I'm looking forward to Phantom Hourglass purely because of it maintaining the Cel-Shaded visuals. They're awesome and it will be great to see them in action again via this title. Which I'm sure will also be awesome because well, you know, it's Zelda.

Predictable opinion/post there, perhaps, but it's true.

That trailer makes PH look like pretty much everything that I've ever wanted from a Zelda game (this gen) - meets pretty much everything that I've ever wanted from a DS game.

Of course, trailers can have that 'OMG RAPTURE' effect of you... so I'll be waiting for the game to decide just how high on my '!!!' scale it rates.

Nintendo said they have developed a new Zelda from the ground up for Wii for about a year now. Don't know if it's a 2008 title or not.

2008 is pushing it, 2009-2010 seems more like it. Mind you there was an almost 10 year gap between GOOD console Zelda releases (OoC to TP)

Your personal opinion doesn't dictate whether a title exists or not; whether one fits within a timeline or not nor does it dictate the quality of the game. Fair enough, you disliked the two games but you can't ignore their presence or their success as DECENT Zelda titles.

And by decent, I mean suitable installments to the franchise. They weren't spin-off titles, they weren't rushed to be annual releases or anything else that may make a game worse than a prior installment, hence this post.

This game is looking quite good, can't wait for a release date

I'm not saying that cel shading sux, or that TP's 'real' graphics are better than cel shading..... But is it Zelda fans opinion that one can't exist without the other?

Cause i think both styles have their place, and one can do what the other can't, and should be able to co-exist in the Zelda world, don't u?

Let me re-word, even though I dont like them, I see how they are decent.

Link to the Past, OoC and TP are AMAZING titles that are so far above the others while the others don't quite make that grade of being so critically acclaimed yet still accomplished Zelda titles. I mean come on, those 3 titles are considered to be some of the greatest games of all time, WW and MM didn't get those considerations.

So yeah, just replace my wording of Good with Incredible and you get what I am saying.

I am wondering if this new Wii title would be considered in that high grade or kind of like MM after OoC, popular yet nowhere near as the scale of TP, or could it really wow people again?

Popularity does not equal Awesomeness... but in this case it does, as Oot and TP were great. But TP never wowed me, it was predictable fan service - what the gamers wanted, NO SURPRISES. Both MM and WW surprised me in many levels. And in many cases, I find this to be better then predicatable fan service. Shake it up I say.
