The handheld versions will opt the same story as their console counterparts, however, both versions will introduce new gameplay elements, namely the DS version. In the DS version, gamers will be able to use the touch screen for swimming, as well as cleverly use the DS to blow dust off of found artefacts throughout Lara’s adventure. Both games will be displayed in a 2D perspective, with the DS version making use of 3D elements also.
Lara’s long-awaited return to a Nintendo system isn’t looking to bad at this stage, but time will only tell how the game actually plays. Before we layout our verdict, be sure to check out the first screenshots from the DS version via the media panel.
