Lara further infiltrates Nintendo systems

DS News | Coming to the small screen.
If it wasn't enough of a shock that Tomb Raider: Legend was coming to the GameCube, according to IGN, it won't be the only Nintendo system recieving a version of Lara's latest adventure. It seems that Eidos have announced that Tomb Raider: Legend will be coming to the Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance as well.

There is very little known about these titles at the moment but they are meant to be based on the console couterparts. "There are a host of new and exciting features for Lara on the Nintendo platforms," said Senior Brand Manager Kathryn Clements. "With the stunning graphics of the original games optimized to Nintendo's platforms, Legend will further extend the reach of the Lara universe." Tomb Raider has already had a couple of Game Boy outings but none of them were tied to any of the previous console games.

According to Eidos, the DS and GBA versions are expected for release in Q3 2006, presumably not far from the release of the GameCube version. It is likely that we'll learn more at E3 next week.

Lara is history, tried 360 version yesterday and just cannot compete with current generation games (in terms of gameplay)
