New DS Castlevania named

DS News | And a bit more info...
US magazine Gamepro has followed up fellow magazine Nintendo Power's hint about the new Castlevania title for DS with a hint of their own. While searching the gamepro.com website, one eagle-eyed Castlevania fan on the Castlevania Dungeon Forum found a teaser of what appeared to be the cover for the July issue (already?) of Gamepro magazine. And, just under the headline about New Super Mario Bros was mention of another article: a preview of Castlevania: Dual Moons. The cover also mentions that the game will be released in 2007.

The 'moon' in the title has led to speculation that the new game may be a sequel to the first GBA Castlevania, Circle of the Moon, but this seems unlikely, given that the current producer of the Castlevania series didn't like it, and has relegated it to spin-off status on the official timeline. Aria and Dawn of Sorrow featured the moon, so another sequel to them is possible, but why the name change? Maybe it's about Dracula's college days, when he and Death would jointly drop trousers and moon young village girls as a prank...

...Anyhow, we're sure we'll get some answers - we just hope we don't have to wait until July.

Would be nice to play (or even see) Dawn of Sorrow before it comes out

Probably because Nathan was the last Castlevania protagonist that had a shred of masculinity.

A direct sequel probably wouldn't fit but the DSS card system deserved to be revived.

He also seems to be the last actual "vampire hunter" we get to be.

I like the DSS card system better than Soul System... I found it to be a pain to collect souls
