The hack first makes an appearance after players disconnect from WiFi mode, and comes in the form of a peculiar-looking letter in your mailbox. Opening the letter reveals a blank page, but there's also a Red Tulip attached. Placing the flower in your house means that you can no longer put anything else over that spot or remove it. However, it appears you can also plant the offending flower on the stone outside your house, after which it turns into a standard Red Tulip flower that can be picked up, planted and re-planted at will.
It's not yet clear whether this is a slip-up from Nintendo or a genuine hack job, though the latter seems far more likely. For our part, we'd just like to denounce the people who initiate this kind of thing as the scum of the earth, and as the type who deserve to be hung by their intestines while there's still breath in their bodies. [Guess who put the tulip in his house - Ed].
