New DS RPG heads for online

DS News | Another notch in the Nintendo Wi-Fi belt.
Grasshopper Manufacterers, of Killer 7 fame, have updated their Japanese website for the new DS RPG, Contact. Sporting a Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection logo confirms that it will now officially be part of the service. Specific online features are unknown at this time.

In addition to that, when receiving a question about whether Contact would come to the US, Grasshopper replied with "There is question with the European-American versions."

For those not in the know, basically, Contact tells the story of a professor in possession of peculiar items called “elements.” After crash landing his space ship on a strange planet, the professor’s “elements” end up scattered all over the place. He enlists the help of a local boy named “Cherry” to help him retrieve the items so he can ultimately leave the planet.

Along with a potential PAL release, this is one of the first RPGs for the DS announced officially to go online – great news for DS owners everywhere.

Oh cool a Pikmin RPG. I'm actually just excited about any Wifi DS games as long as it doesn't include the words 'Tony Hawk' in it.

Well, Wi-FI DS games are few and far between at the moment so I'm pretty pumped too.

Got a link? I have a suspicion that someone needs to brush up on their Japanese. icon_lol.gif
There aren't actually any replies to questions* on the official site there, merely a series of messages from the users (questions included sometimes) and corresponding Japanese translations of those questions (probably from the staff).

Unless your source is somewhere other than that site, I'd say that's a translation error. icon_smile.gif

(*edit: actually, there are a couple of responses in separate messages, but nothing about a English-language release)

So after Killer 7, this is what Grasshopper is up to, a Pikmin clone. Quite disappointing to say the least.

I really liked the art style (back when I thought it was Mother 3).

The story sounds kind of bland, but online would be good.
