Pokemon Puzzle Images

DS News | We're puzzled by what they mean though.
Nintendo has today revealed the first images of their upcoming Pokemon spin off, Pokemon Puzzle. In the game, players will use the stylus to move Pokemon images about, with the objective being to link the images together. A bit like Zoo Keeper by the sounds of it. In addition, the game will also feature wireless multiplayer support.

The game is due out in Japan on October 20th, but other than that there isn't a great amount of information floating about. We've provided the first screenshots of the game in our Media Panel.

Looks like another way to make a quick buck for a dying anime/game. It was great 5 years ago but now its just a prolonged pain. I don't even know if they still make profits from all this?? And sure as hell i did not understand those images icon_razz.gif.

Not sure if its still making a profit....ahhh...... icon_rolleyes.gif

Have you not seen what the number 1 game is every week for like the past 2 months.....pokemon emerald.......And really i dont think the anime and the game should even be uttered in the same sentence....there so different from each other its stupid.....nearly as stupid as the anime.

But dont you worry pokemon is still a big money monkey for nintendo and still has plenty of steam left, and some of the offshot games of the series aint so bad.....pokemon puzzle challenge for the gbc(while really it was just a rebadged tetris attack), is a great puzzle game.

For a game that is obviously looking like it will cost $10 to make, of course it will make a profit.

Honestly, despite my age, Pokemon is a pretty fun and addictive franchise. The anime is fairly mainstream, but the actual games are fairly impressive. All the Pokemon RPG games are stand-outs, and the few spin-offs also do quite nicely (Pokemon Pinball for example).

This game does look like a rush-in for cash though, as it looks fairly similar to Zoo Keeper in its design. Hopefully the game offers a bit more variety though, as I'm sure this will be a game that I might consider buying.

You can say the exact same thing for all the other franchisers out there that have exceeded over three different games. I don't see how Need for Speed has changed a great deal, but it still seems to rack in some nice profits. In a sense, they are one in the same.

sounds oddly relevant to pokemon puzzle challenge for GBC. Although i never played that game, so what would i know? icon_dumb.gif

I really can't figure out how this is going to play at all. To be honest, though, the play area looks way too small... I'm doubting it'll be possible to string large combos together. icon_kero.gif
Pokémon Puzzle Challenge was a great game though, essentially a mini portable version of Tetris Attack icon_biggrin.gif

I don't think I'll be buying this. The other Pokémon games created by Game Freak take priority over this one, it just looks like a cash-in. icon_kero.gif

^^ Like Mark said, it would seem to play similar to zoo-keeper imo.

It is a Zoo Keeper clone but I think Pokeholics will enjoy it mainly because they can associate with their Pokemon friends.

Haven't played Zoo Keeper so can't tell if the puzzle concept is any good. Game reviews have always been favourable.

Seems to be deluge of Pokemon games coming should keep the little fanatics happy icon_biggrin.gif.
