Lunar DS not heading to Europe

DS News | Not yet anyway, says Ubisoft.
According to several reports, Ubisoft has announced that they currently have no plans to release Lunar: Dragon Song for the Nintendo DS in Europe. This shock announcement only comes a week after the company unveiled that the game would be headed for the U.S later this year.

The game will be set 1,000 years prior to the events of Lunar: Silver Star, the remarkable RPG title that blessed our consoles over a decade ago, and was seen as the title that established the series for what it is today.

While Ubisoft has yet to officially rule out the possibility of a PAL release, it’s a certainty that the title wouldn’t hit our shores until 2006 at the earliest. Fortunately, for the RPG hungry gamers amongst our readers, the Nintendo DS isn’t bound to any regional locks, so gamers willing to get into the action of GameArts’ upcoming RPG title can buy the game from importers during its mid-September release in America this year.
