E3 2005: Sonic Rush announced for the DS

DS News | Including the first images!
After the disaster of Pokemon Dash we were scared that Sega's new Nintendo DS title Sonic Rush would use the same concept, it is with great relief that we reveal that Sonic Rush will be a new 2D adventure for Sonic.

The bottom screen of the DS screen serves as an extension of the top screen, we don't think Sonic Rush is going to be using the Nintendo DS to its full advantage.

We've included the first images in the media panel, PALGN will have more information in the coming days.

A 2D Sonic title minus the annoying hard-edged "too-cool" Sonic Advance graphics, and according to other sources, also stripped of the "attack" ability and other features which blatantly shouldn't have been present in the Sonic Advance series, because they just weren't Sonic as it should be.

Looks like this may be Sonic returned to its roots. I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out. icon_smile.gif
