Pre E3 2005: Snowboard Kids announced for the DS

DS News | We've got the first images and details.
Snowboard Kids was originally released for the Nintendo 64 back in 1996 and was a surprisingly addictive snowboarding game for one to four players.

The Snowboard Kids are back yet again. Snowbord Kids has all the elements from the first two titles, as well as new features including touch screen controls, wireless multiplayer, new weapons, new characters and a new sense of speed. We're glad that this isn't just a remake.

Some of the other features in Snowboard Kids include:

  • Play with up to 4 friends at a time! 8 characters to choose from! Attack the slopes and your opponents to be the first to reach the finish line!
  • Utilize special items and attacks during the race to win at any cost!
  • Each character has their own unique projectile attack! Doing tricks will allow him to power up and become even more formidable!
  • Score mad points by obtaining items, doing tricks, and earning a high ranking for each lap! Take advantage of key areas perfect for doing the hottest tricks!
  • By pulling off sick tricks, fill your Trick Meter and unlock awesome special tricks unique to each character!
  • Use money earned from any game mode to purchase new boards and other cool gear!

We've also managed to score the first eight images of the game in action, refer to the media panel for these images, PALGN will have more information on Snowboard Kids DS as soon as it becomes available.

Doesn't look too bad. The kids are gone, and now we have the teens without the big noses...

Snowboarding games are always pretty good in my opinon and the previous Snowboard Kids have always been pretty enjoyable. Can't wait to see more and hear more of the game in action.

HAHAHAHA I really enjoyed Snowboard kids! That was when I was young though, I don't know if it's the screenshots but all this versions looks like to me, graphics wise is a port of the original icon_confused.gif. But any who if they can make the game enjoyable, the graphics shouldn't matter.
