The game will use the assistance of the NDS’s dual screens to enhanced the strategy required in each battle. During battles, gamers will now be presented with two separate scenarios for each screen, the top screen showing air-based maps and with the bottom screen showing ground-based maps. Nintendo has confirmed that the NDS system has added an array of unique opportunities that’ll allow players to strategize their attacks and movements from both the air and the ground in a single round.
Advance Wars DS will utilize WiFi that will allow for multiple gamers to play against one another. The actual number of players and further details regarding the games multiplayer has yet to be discussed in full detail, although we can only expect that more will be revealed within the next month.
Advance Wars DS is scheduled to be released in Japan this year. In the meantime, check out the media panel for the first screenshots of the game in action.
