Activision announces their first title for the Nintendo DS: Spider-Man 2

DS News | Web slinging hits Nintendo's new handheld.
Spider-Man 2 will hit the Nintendo DS, hopefully for its launch on the 21st of November. Like the console versions, it will be based around the Spider-Man 2 movie and Activision have confirmed that Vicarious Visions will be in charge of its development.

Kathy Vrabeck, president of Activision Publishing, commented, "We are excited about the Nintendo DS and are working closely with Nintendo to bring the Spider-Man 2 video game to this innovative new platform." She continued, "The nature of the dual-screen technology allows us to deliver more interactive and intuitive gameplay experiences on the hand-held than ever before."

At this point in time, it is unknown how Activision plan on taking advantage of the dual-screen or other functions the Nintendo DS can provide.

Mmm. I know Nintendo'll be able to do it well, but how well everyone else is able to take advantage of the dual-screen and the touchscreen, and how often they'll do it, will be major deciding factors of the sales of DS...
Spider-Man 2 sounds like a game in which touchpad and dual screen could actually fit quite well, luckily. icon_smile.gif
