Rabbids Go Home also heading to the DS

DS News | Quiet, we're hunting Rabbids.
Earlier in the year, Ubisoft announced that those insane Rabbids would be back in an all-new adventure on the Wii titled Rabbids Go Home. In contrast to past mini-game compilations, it was revealed as an action-adventure game that will see players take control of the little fuzz-balls and collect junk to build a tower to the moon. Today Ubisoft confirmed a Nintendo DS version is also in development.

The Nintendo DS version will have the same storyline as its Wii counterpart, however, there will be a higher focus on puzzle solving. Apparently each level will require players to collect as much stuff as possible before reaching the goal point (in the game's case, a toilet) while avoiding dogs, exterminators and other nasties. The game's story mode will feature 15 levels, though there are four additional challenge modes which contain 20 levels each - bringing the total number to an impressive 95. Players will also have the ability to create, upload and download custom levels, and if you have a Nintendo DSi console you can take a picture using the system's camera and jazz it up with funny Rabbid animations.

Rabbids Go Home is scheduled to be released during the 2009 Christmas holiday period on both Wii and Nintendo DS. You can check out three DS images in the media panel below.
