New Dragon Ball games heading to Wii and DS

DS News | It's over 9,000... well, maybe not.
Namco Bandi has announced today that they’ll be publishing two new Dragon Ball titles. The games will be Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans for the Nintendo DS, and Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo for the Wii.

Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans follows the Saiyan Saga of the Dragon Ball Z story, starting with Goku’s victory at the World Tournament. At this stage not a lot has been revealed, though it has been confirmed to be an RPG that will feature content never before seen in the anime or manga.

Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo will follow the adventures of Goku from the Red Ribbon Saga right up to and including the King Piccolo Saga. According to Namco, the game reproduces the unique humour and visual style of the Dragon Ball series by including the original Japanese music and voiceovers. Dragon Ball artist Akira Toriyama’s drawings have also been reproduced on-screen. In addition to the Story mode, there will be an unlockable VS mode where players can fight as their favourite characters.

Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans and Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo are both scheduled to be released in Q3 this year in PAL territories.

Attack of the Saiyans could be interesting. But, we'll see.

Uggh. I'm not too hot on the fact that they will have the japanese music and voice overs in the wii game. Dragon Ball Z was one of the few animes that was better dubbed, and I never thought the japanese music really fit with the style of the show...

The DS game sounds better at this stage.

And I was thinking "damn I don't have a Wii".But seeing as it's in Japanese, it's no loss.

The DS game was made because of the rerelease of Dragonball Z called Dragonball Kai in Japan. It has been said that DB Kai will probably not be translated so a lot of people had given up on this game getting done.
