For those who were a little young to remember, The Great Giana Sisters was a platformer that was originally released in 1987 on the Atari ST and Commodore 64. Unfortunately, the game was subsequently removed from shelves due to legal pressure from Nintendo. Looking at screenshots from the original game, it’s easy to see why. The enemies closely resemble Goombas, while the stats displayed look like they were taken directly from the original Mario Bros. on NES. At this stage not too much is known about the DS version, though DTP are promising there will be touch screen controls, microphone functionality and more than 80 levels to play through.
