Nintendo to make the economy 'fun'

DS News | Teaming up with Nikkei Inc. to create economy software.
Not content with training your brain, sight and wallet, Nintendo has announced plans for a piece of software aimed at training players in the art of economics, and making it 'fun'.

The news comes to us by way of Trading Markets, who says that the Japanese giant will be joining forces with Nikkei to bring the game to the Nintendo DS. The software will be targeted at younger people, in an attempt to get them interested in the economy.

The software - we doubt it will classify as a 'game' - sees players learning the basics of economics by tackling a series of different quizzes. What fun.

Details are thin on the ground at this stage - if any plans for a western release surface, we will let you know.
