Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword coming to Australia in June

DS News | Ubisoft to publish.
Ubisoft has announced that they'll be bringing Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword to Australia in June, 2008. Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword is a DS exclusive title.

Dragon Sword includes a brand new story, and Ryu Hayabusa's combat moves are also mapped to the Nintendo DS touchscreen and directional buttons which supposedly allows Ryu great flexibility. Ubisoft hasn't pegged down an exact release date for the title yet, but when they do we'll let you know.

I'll be getting this game. I wasn't a big fan of the first but this and NGII sparked my interest.

Holding a DS like a book should be used more often!

Great to see it'll be getting a release here but I've already got my copy sent out from play-asia. Can't wait to get my hands on it cause it looks fantastic.

great game! it's definitely worth buying, but I'd suggest you don't support nintendo australia's barrel-**** delays.

import it or *snip*

Does anyone actually buy DS games in Australia anymore? You can always get everything from play-asia earlier, and about 20 bucks cheaper.

How would buying this game support Nintendo Australia as it's a Ubisoft release of a Team Ninja game?

its a good game, i wonder if they will have that really cool stylus for people who preorder like they did in america, id almost buy it again to get the stylus then sell the game on its own.

you don't think nintendo australia have anything to do with release schedules or have any financial stake in games sales on their platforms?

^I don't believe Nintendo have anything to do with Ubisofts release schedules and I don't see them getting anyextra money from sale of this game either.
I could be wrong but as far as I know Nintendo get no royalties from 3rd party software sales. They just get the licensing fee upfront and the money for the DS cartridges when the publishers buy them from Nintendo. So I guess if the game sells big and they have to print more copys they'll make some extra cash but if your importing it Nintendo is getting your money anyway so it doesn't really matter

Dragon Sword is a awesome game, just got my copy this morning. Its got great graphics for the DS and the comic style cutscenes really fit the game. Gameplay wise its fast paced and tactical alot like the previous games. I thought I would have a problem adapting to the new control scheme but its actually very user friendly. Certainly one of the better DS games available.

<larry david voice>pretty prettyyyyy pretyyyyyy naive</larry david voice>

and let me reiterate my original point to anybody unhappy with overpriced games and long-delays, don't support them with your dollars. it won't take long before nintendo australia's accountants are staring at their spreadsheets trying to figure out why games that sold a tonne overseas six months ago aren't selling when they're released here.

I have 7 friends with wiis, internet connections and credit cards. guess how many of us are waiting patiently for smash to come out locally so we can pay twice the price? pffft.

^Mate, as much as I hate to have this attitude, the minority of us will make squat of a difference. Especially so, when casual sales are what drives Nintendo Australia, not hardcore ones.

The PAL Nintendo hate really just extends to the Wii. The DS is region free. Problem solved. You didn't need to bring this well discussed topic up.

And everything in Australia is overpriced, not just Nintendo.

this game is coming out in australia like 3 months after it hit japan and the states. pretty relevant topic if you ask me.

there are (problematic) ways around the wii region protection, but I shouldn't have to be exploring them. and yes, I import every 360 game that isn't region locked too. I've never paid over AUD$79 for any game on any system and I never will.
