Nintendo's pre-Tokyo Game Show 3DS conference mostly delivered the goods. New footage of major upcoming games was shown, and both Monster Hunter Tri G and Monster Hunter 4 were announced. Nintendo also promised that an overhauled eShop update was scheduled for the end of the year. Though at the time not willing to divulge more information, this Friday could be time when we finally learn some more.
Announced over at Andriasang, and Nintendo of Japan's official website, company CEO Satoru Iwata has revealed that a pre-recorded 3DS specific event will be streamed live on the official website this Friday, at 800pm sharp (Japan time). The intention of the event, according to Mr. Iwata, is to cover topics and announcements they were unable to fit in the schedule of their pre-Tokyo Game Show event.
Titled the 'Nintendo 3DS New Information Internet Presentation', it is likely that this event will cover the aforementioned revamped eStore, as well as other such promised updates like friend messaging and video recording. If rumours are to be believed, the internet focused event will also cover Mario Kart 7's online component, a feature that has become a staple thanks to Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart Wii, with specifics unknown for the latest iteration.
What else will Nintendo talk about? Maybe big things, maybe nothing at all. Either way, folks willing to check it out can do so at the official website on Friday evening. Please note that until told otherwise, it should be assumed that the streamed video will be spoken in Japanese.
