Star Fox 64 Australian release date announced

3DS News | September just got a little bit foxy.
If you haven't got your hands on one yet, you might want to pick up a Nintendo 3DS shortly, as the latest Nintendo press release has revealed that Star Fox 64 3D will be hitting our shores on 15 September 2011.

Star Fox 64 3D will allow gamers to experience a remastered version of this classic Nintendo title which has been tailored to make use of the features of the Nintendo 3DS system. While the action may have been revamped, the central story remains the same with gamers stepping into the role of Fox McCloud as he leads a squadron of Airwings to engage the evil Andross and save the galaxy from certain destruction.

The title will carry a suggested retail price of AU$69.99 when it hits Australian stores. Those keen to see just what Star Fox 64 3D is all about can check out our impressions of the game in our E3 2011 preview here.

Getting it, Day one. Loved the original on the N64 and having it portable will be even better.

Jeezz... $70 for a mobile game.

I wonder how long this can continue, when you can buy new release iPhone/iPad/Android games of similar quality for $5 or less??

It'll be around $50. And while I like iOS gaming, I don't really think there are games this quality for $5 or less, the best quality games are around $10, and even then rarely as good as a portable console like the 3DS.
