Ocarina of Time 3D detailed and dated for PAL

3DS News | But where's the Australian date?
We know a good few folk are desperately waiting for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, and thanks to Eurogamer we now know exactly what to expect from the package, as well as when the game will be available. At least, for importers.

As our previous hands-on previews have explained, Ocarina of Time 3D is a faithful remake of that one really popular Zelda game from the Nintendo 64, enhanced with new, flashy 3D visuals, a touch-screen inventory and map, and a few optional motion controls for good measure.

The previously rumoured 'Master Quest' has now been confirmed to ship with the game, which will offer players a 'remixed' version of the main quest with harder enemies and new puzzle layouts. Additionally, Ocarina of Time 3D will feature a 'Boss Challenge' mode, which allows players to relive boss fights, or experience a 'boss rush' challenge where they must defeat each of the game's boss after another.

Lastly, Ocarina of Time 3D has been dated for a 17 June 2011 in Europe. While we must unfortunately wait for an Australian date, an European PAL release guarantees the game will run on our systems, so those importing will know when to expect it.

To accompany this slew of news, Nintendo made sure to release some new screenshots, all of which you can check out below.

Hmm, Hyrule Market got an overhaul.

I'll still get it but I played the game to death on the 64 (too many friends had trouble with the Water Temple so I ended up doing it for them every time), as well as on the GCN.

Hopefully it works well as a portable format.

Honestly, I can safely say that most people had trouble with the temple because they missed a key, and it was 90% of the time the one located at the bottom of the middle pillar room underneath a floatable block.

Sheesh, more than 10 years have passed, I can still remember that place clearly.

Still, doesn't hold a candle to the MQ version. icon_biggrin.gif

PUMPED

I personally would say 50% of the time its the key under the tower/pillar in the middle. And the other 50% of the time is the second chest hidden under the hidden temple of time block in the same room as the Longshot.

Technically you can argue its the only room in the entire game to have two major chests in the same room.

I quite like the Water Temple, as it gives access to the Longshot, which you can use to get some of the supposed later items earlier (Nayru's Love, Fire Arrows, etc).

The Well in Kakariko Village was the only dungeon I hated. Creepy moaning facerape zombies accompanied by terrifying ambient music was the source of many nightmares.

The best part was that you didn't even need to do the dungeon. The thing you needed was right at the front.

Yeah I know, just to the door on the right. But I'm one of those crazy perfectionist types and had to get/kill everything in it.

my hate for the water temples stems entirely from the constant switching of boots. If you could have put them on a cbutton it would have been way better.

This was the most impressive 3D experience I had at the 3DS Demo's, it just looks so fresh and new now, regardless of pixel detail.
