Nintendo 3DS event to take place at the Makuhari Messe complex

3DS News | All aboard the hype train!
Many of us are aware by now that Nintendo intends to have a 3DS related conference in Japan at the end of the month to reveal the system's price, launch dates, and potentially many other things. What we haven't known is where, exactly, the event would be located.

Until now, that it is. A recent news post over at IGN has let slip the details, revealing that the 3DS conference will take place at the Makuhari Messe complex in Tokyo. The Makuhari Messe complex will be best known to foreigners as the place where the annual Tokyo Game Show takes place, an event Nintendo regularly avoid.

While this probably won't mean a lot to most people, it is surprising that Nintendo have chosen such a large complex exclusively for their 3DS event. We speculate that with so much room for booths, shows, and presentations, that there might be a little more shown that just the price and launch date.

Nintendo's 3DS event takes place on September 29, and we'll be sure to catch all announcements, reveals, screenshots and videos as soon as they're available.

Hopefully they show off some Wii stuff there too. Wouldn't mind more Donkey Kong or Zelda.

I don't think they will. It'll be 3DS only

Like they said at E3, the best way to witness the console is hands on, so it's likely they'll have a number of them on show so as many people as possible inside the venue get a chance to witness, if not play it, in person. Here's hoping they organise a Nintendo 3DS tour before the year is out, if by chance we don't get the actual console here until next year.
