After tireless diplomatic negotiations and editorial rearrangements over the last few weeks, PAL Gaming Network is proud to announce the most significant addition to our coverage since the change of generations; PAL Gaming Network has expanded editorial coverage into mobile phone games. This is an area that hasn't been covered by PALGN since the days of the N-Gage.
And to kick this off, over the past few months PALGN has been in discussion with Sony Ericsson. We got our hands on Sony Ericsson's first ever PlayStation certified phone - the Xperia Play which comes preloaded with games from publishers that, no doubt, you already know.
Here's a snapshot of the Xperia Play:
- Runs the latest version of Android (Android 2.3);
- Slide out PlayStation certified game pad;
- Vibrant 4” multi-touch screen;
- More than 50 titles available at launch; and
- 1Ghz CPU and super fast embedded Adreno GPU graphics processor
James has been in the Telco space for more than 5 years and manages Sony Ericsson's ANZ product range and strategy. At PALGN we know "games" but not necessarily mobiles. So feel free to ask as many questions you like....
Our future intention is to expand into covering the biggest games to hit the Android and iOS operating systems. Furthermore, this expansion has been made with the intention of providing Australian gaming and mobile developers a local source for distributing their announcements and allowing their games to receive adequate coverage.
The first Sony Ericsson Xperia Play review will be up early next week, followed by the second one the week after. So stay tuned to PALGN, as we’ll not only continue bringing you all the leading independent gaming coverage that we usually do, but now we have the addition of mobile phone gaming coverage as well.
