The Game Boy micro will be available across Australia on November 3rd 2005 (eight days before Europe) and will retail for $149.95. The Game Boy micro will be available in five colours at launch. The Platinum silver version will be available everywhere, with four other special colours being individually released through specific retailers. The other colours can be seen here.
The unit has removable face plates which gives owners the option to customise the look of their systems again and again with new colours and designs. Each unit will come with an alternative face plate that can be used to switch the style of your unit. More will be available at a later date.
It has the same processing power as the standard Game Boy Advance and has possibly the brightest screen ever made for a Nintendo handheld system. Nintendo are aiming the system at the "image-conscious" market.
In other slightly related news, on September 22nd the DS will be released in Cosmic Blue and Mystic Pink colours. They will join the original Platinum coloured Nintendo DS and can be viewed in our media section.
