Thus, this October, Playstation 2 and Xbox will be playing host to Metal Slug 3, whilst the GBA will be enjoying the sultry, erotic and intricately-drawn 2D charms of Metal Slug Advance. Obviously, the series has appeared on home consoles other than the prohibitively expensive Neo Geo platform before now, most successfully on the PSOne, which saw an almost-perfect port of the excellent Metal Slug X. And sure enough, the XBox shots (see the screens that accompany with this article) suggest that once again there'll be no graphical upgrades sprinkled over the series.
So what really gets PALGN's juices flowing this time is the prospect of a graphically faithful portable Metal Slug. Yea, we know it appeared before on the Neo Geo Pocket handheld. But the GBA shots (also included in the media section of this article) hint at a far more graphically rich experience, as opposed to the comparitively primitive Neo Geo Pocket version. Expect a review soon.
