GBA SP selling like hot cakes

GBA News | Japanese gamers really love the new Nintendo hardware.
A number of Japanese retail stores reported that the Gameboy Advance SP sold out completely at the February 14th launch. Some stores had hundreds of gamers lined up waiting to buy the new GBA, complete with a flip-top design and a clear screen. (Pictures from the day can be seen in our media panel)

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and Metroid Fusion, also launched with the Gameboy Advance SP, were hot sellers with the GBA SP debut, with an estimated 1:1 ratio of FFTA to the GBA SP sales made on the launch. FFTA, also released on February 14th in Japan, is one of the first, and hopefully not the last, games to come from Squaresoft’s newfound relationship with Nintendo.

With the release of the hardware in PAL regions only a month away we’re suggesting that you pre-order or get your sleeping bags ready because these things are going to sell fast worldwide.

r_w_m is won't render the GBA obsolute just it won't sell so much. I don't see many people buying it anyway. But then people were still buying GBs back when the GBC came out because it was so much cheaper.

Well I preordered mine, as soon as I could and therefore saved myself about £10 icon_biggrin.gif
