Nintendo Australia also offer free game with every new GameCube purchase.

GCN News | Thankfully, Nintendo Australia have decided to follow in suit and give one free game out with a new purchase of a Nintendo GameCube.
Nintendo Australia is giving a FREE game to Australian gamers who purchase a Nintendo GameCube.

Games in this promotion include best selling new releases, each with a SRP of $99.95. Titles include Super Smash Bros. Melee, NBA Courtside 2002, Eternal Darkness and Star Fox Adventures.

These great games have something to offer all gamers and all tastes.

"We are very excited to be able to offer Australian gamers the only pure video game console - in a starter pack that is by far the lowest price on the market. We expect this offer to be extremely well received by retailers and consumers," says Rohan Harry, Marketing Manager, Nintendo Australia.

This offer is available at all retail outlets that stock the Nintendo GameCube for a limited time.

After seeing the depressing sales for GameCube over Christmas, I hope this will jerk the sales up a bit. Advertising will be the key to the success of this campaign, and knowing NOAus, then it won't work.

That's good news. Hopefully it can make a dent on the market, with a few subtle ads around the place.

Limited offer? Hmm... better not be too short.

What Nintendo REALLY needs to do is bringout the Gamer's Choice here. That would rouse a few heads and heighten a few sales. But seeing as they didn't bring it in with the N64 (or at least, I didn't see it) NOA really need something to market the Cube. It's mere presence (or as the case may be, lack thereof) won't market itself.
