There's no doubt that you've all heard about the bonus disc that Lucasarts had planned for pre-orders of Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike in the United States, consisting of playable demos of Rogue Squadron II and III, the classic 1982 version of Star Wars, and several rolling demos.
Unfortunately for PAL gamers, there has been no indication of plans to bring the disc over here - in fact, Lucasart's Australian distributor, Electronic Arts didn't even know about the disc at all!
Luckily, there is a glimmer of hope available for PAL gamers hoping to get their greasy little mits on the disc. Popular UK gaming chain GAME's website has updated it's Rebel Strike listing recently, with the following message:
Pre-order and purchase Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike from GAME now and receive an Exclusive Limited Edition Bonus Disc. We are the only UK website that can offer you this disc - use the Force and move quickly, this is a whilst stocks last offer! The Bonus Disc contains Atari's Star Wars arcade game from 1982 playable on the Nintendo GameCube, Rebel Strike single-player demo and Bonus Content such as Game Trailers, Concept Art and more!
It is unclear whether the offer will extend to all gaming stores or just GAME. We also are at a miss as to the fate of the bonus disc for Australia. PALGN will have more news on the fate of the Rebel Strike bonus disc as it breaks.
