To your right you should see two pictures, the Japanese promo poster for Kirby's Air Ride and a close-up at the bottom that reveals the game's LAN feature.
The acronym is shown in English with a diagram depicting a GameCube prepared to link with another.
Since Mario Kart is already officially confirmed as supporting LAN, it's a logical step to add such a feature to this racer also.
In a related note, Gamespy are licensed GCN developers and have confirmed that it will provide middleware for online games, so even if Nintendo itself does not support true online play, Gamespy may release software allowing users to emulate a Local Area Network, via a broadband PC connection.
Look out for more news on this title after the upcoming Hobby show in Japan, where Nintendo will show a small number of upcoming releases.
