The unit will come as a two-seat unit standard, but can be linked up with other units for additional fun. There are twenty four courses of varying difficulty in all - almost a record for an arcade machine - with additional challenge stages. NamCam 2 can also be used in the cabinet pictured in our media panel. It allows you to take a picture of yourself, so that other racers know just exactly which racer you are. Handy.
Naturally, Mario Kart Arcade GP has the same crazy gameplay that the series has become famous for, with coins for additional speed, lightning bolts, stars, shells and a heap of secret moves.
...And here's the but. The machine is only going to be produced in limited quantities, so it's probably fair to say that PAL shores won't see too many of them. Least we can hope, eh? The machine is set for an October release. You can see the cabinet and some screenshots in the media panel.
